The “I Am the Drummer Project, Inc.“ began in August 2011 and was inspired and established to be part of the solution of a dreadful crisis that exists among young students with literacy problems and dropping out of school. God placed this vision into my heart to teach youths to finish the course that is set before them and not to give up. Along with this assignment, I believe the Lord has made it clear to me to equip youth to live in victory each day of their lives by setting goals, establishing priorities and developing a game plan.
The project lives on to feature the talents of drummers across the State of South Carolina who will use their drumming skills and mentoring abilities to inspire youths into a growing knowledge that they are the drummer of their own destiny.
The project consist of a diligent Board of Directors and mentors who will use their skills and talents in teaching, developing and nurturing young boys and girls into becoming productive citizens.
